Refined palmolein recover on renewed demand

Meanwhile, groundnut oil and linseed oil maintained a stable trend in the absence of market moving factors.

Castorseeds bold and castor oil commercial remained sluggish due to subdued demand from shippers and soap manufacturers.

In futures, castorseeds eased further on speculative selling amidst lack of export enquiries.

In the edible segment, refined palmolein edged up by Rs 2 per 10 kg to Rs 612 from Friday's closing level of Rs 610. Groundnut oil held steady at Rs 1,185 per 10 kg.

In non-edible segment, Castorseed bold fell by Rs 35 per 100 kg to Rs 3,225 from Rs 3,260 and castoroil commercial declined by Rs 7 per 10 kg to Rs 675 from Rs 682 previously. Linseed oil closed closed unchanged at Rs 730 per 10 kg.

 

Turning to futures, castorseed for the September contract resumed slightly lower at Rs 3,366 and moved in range of Rs 3,380 and Rs 3,336 before closing at Rs 3,350 as against Rs 3,368 yesterday, showing a loss of Rs 18 per tonne.
