Refined palmolein prices weakened further at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today due to reduced demand from retailers amidst bearish Malaysian cues.
Groundnut oil and linseed oil held steady in the absence of any major buying activity.
In non-edible segment, castorseeds bold and castor oil commercial prices slipped due to subdued demand from shippers and soap industries.
In the edible segment, refined palmolein dropped by Rs 5 per 10kg to Rs 485 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 490. Groundnut oil closed unchanged at Rs 980 per 10kg.
Moving to non-edible section, castorseed bold fell by Rs 25 per 100kg to Rs 3,625 from Rs 3,650 and castor oil commercial moved down by Rs 5 per 10kg to Rs 755 as compared to Rs 760 yesterday. Linseeds closed unaltered at Rs 755 per 10kg.
