Refined soya oil prices weakened by 0.20% to Rs 620.80 per 10 kg in futures trade today as participants trimmed positions, taking weak cues from spot market on subdued demand.

Besides, adequate stocks position on higher supplies from producing regions weighed on refined soya oil prices.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in November declined by Rs 1.25, or 0.20%, to Rs 620.80 per 10 kg with an open interest of 23,430 lots.

Likewise, the oil for delivery in December shed 85 paise, or 0.14%, to Rs 618.10 per 10 kg in 1,40,965 lots.

Market analysts attributed weakness in refined soya oil futures to sluggish demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position on the back of higher supplies from growing regions.
