Refined soya futures down 0.57% on profit booking

Refined soya oil prices fell by 0.57 per cent to Rs 634.25 per 10 kg in futures trading today as traders booked profits at prevailing levels, driven by a fall in demand in the spot market against adequate stocks.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in December month declined by Rs 3.65, or 0.57 per cent to Rs 634.25 per 10 kg with an open interest of 29,160 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in January contracts shed Rs 3, or 0.47 per cent to Rs 634.95 per 10 kg in 86,770 lots.

Market analysts attributed the fall in refined soya oil futures to profit-booking by participants, driven by easing demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position.
