Refined soya oil prices moved up by 0.19 per cent to Rs 621 per 10 kg in the evening futures trading today as speculators enlarged their positions, driven by rising demand in the spot market.

The exchange remained closed for the morning session on account of 'Id-e-Milad'.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in January 2016 rose by Rs 1.15 or 0.19 per cent to Rs 621 per 10 kg with an open interest of 92,190 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in February contracts traded higher by Rs 1.05 or 0.17 per cent to Rs 618 per 10 kg in 64,550 lots.

Market participants said speculators enlarged positions on the back of upsurge in demand in the spot market against restricted supplies from producing belts, mainly led to rise in refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
