Refined soya futures gain 0.34 pc on spot demand

Refined soya oil prices moved up by 0.34 per cent to Rs 633.30 per 10 kg in futures trade today as traders created fresh positions amid upsurge in demand at the spot market.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in June month rose by Rs 2.15, or 0.34 per cent to Rs 633.30 per 10 kg with an open interest of 53,370 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in May month contracts was up Rs 1.10, or 0.17 per cent to Rs 630 per 10 kg in 9,920 lots.

Analysts said fresh positions built up by participants, driven by uptick in demand in the spot market, mainly influenced refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
