Refined soya oil prices traded lower by 0.88 per cent to Rs 608.70 per 10 kg in futures trade today as participants reduced holdings amid easing demand in the spot market.

Besides, adequate stocks position on higher supplies from producing regions weighed on refined soya oil prices.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in November fell Rs 5.40, or 0.88 per cent, to Rs 608.70 per 10 kg with an open interest of 18,030 lots.

Likewise, the oil for delivery in December weakened by Rs 4.15, or 0.68 per cent, to Rs 605.60 per 10 kg in 1,41,345 lots.

Market analysts attributed the fall in refined soya oil futures to decline in demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position on higher supplies from growing regions.
