Refined soya oil prices were down by 0.46 per cent to Rs 585.40 per 10 kg in futures trade today as speculators trimmed positions, tracking a weak trend at spot market on sluggish demand.

In futures trading at National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in August month declined by Rs 2.70, or 0.46 per cent to Rs 585.40 per 10 kg with an open interest of 1,63,980 lots.

Also, the oil for delivery in June month traded lower by Rs 2.40, or 0.40 per cent to Rs 595.95 per 10 kg in 67,010 lots.

Market analysts said offloading of positions on the back of lower demand in the spot market against higher supplies, mainly influenced refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
