Refined soya oil prices slipped by 0.34 per cent to Rs 736.80 per 10 kg in futures trade today as speculators cut bets, driven by adequate stocks position at spot market against lower demand.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in August moved down by Rs 2.55, or 0.34 per cent, to Rs 736.80 per 10 kg with an open interest of 25,330 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in September shed 90 paise, or 0.12 per cent, to Rs 731.50 per 10 kg in 38,020 lots.

Analysts said, offloading of positions by participants on the back of ample stocks position on increased supplies from growing regions in the physical market against muted demand, led to the decline in refined soya oil prices in futures trade.
