Refined soya oil prices were lower by 0.76 per cent to Rs 677 per 10 kg in futures market today as speculators trimmed their positions, tracking a weak trend at spot market on tepid demand.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in November fell by Rs 5.25, or 0.76 per cent to Rs 677 per 10 kg with an open interest of 25,720 lots.
In a similar fashion, the oil for delivery in October lost Rs 4.20, or 0.62 per cent to Rs 677.40 per 10 kg in 45,620 lots.
Analysts said cutting down of positions by traders due to subdued demand in spot market against sufficient stocks position on increased supplies from producing belts, mainly weighed on refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
