Refined soya oil prices fell by 0.30 per cent to Rs 646.50 per 10 kg in futures trade today as speculators booked profits amid easing demand in the spot market.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in April declined by Rs 1.95, or 0.30 per cent, to Rs 646.50 per 10 kg with an open interest of 50,580 lots.
On similar lines, the oil for delivery in May contracts shed Rs 1.80, or 0.28 per cent, to Rs 635.55 per 10 kg in 45,410 lots.
Analysts said besides profit-booking by participants at existing level, fall in demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position on increased supplies from producing belts led to decline in refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
