Refined soya oil prices moved down by 0.36 per cent to Rs 636.20 per 10 kg in futures trade today as speculators trimmed positions amid easing demand in the spot market.

Besides, adequate stocks positions on increased supplies from producing regions weighed on prices.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in July fell by Rs 2.30, or 0.36 per cent, to Rs 636.20 per 10 kg with an open interest of 10,200 lots.

Likewise, the oil for delivery in August shed Rs 1.40, or 0.22 per cent, to Rs 641.85 per 10 kg in 55,510 lots.

Analysts said offloading of positions by traders on the back of sluggish demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position on increased supplies from producing regions mainly led to the decline in refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
