Refined soya oil prices were down 0.38 per cent to Rs 669 per 10 kg in futures trade today as participants reduced their exposure amid muted demand in the spot market against adequate stocks.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in December drifted lower by Rs 2.55 or 0.38 per cent to Rs 669 per 10 kg with an open interest of 52,500 lots.

Likewise, the oil for delivery in November contracts shed Rs 1.50 or 0.23 per cent to Rs 663.90 per 10 kg in 41,580 lots.

Analysts said offloading of positions by traders due to low demand in the spot market against ample stocks position on higher supplies from producing regions mainly led to decline in refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
