Refined soya oil prices were down by 0.44 per cent to Rs 692.30 per 10 kg in futures trade today as speculators booked profits following weak demand at spot markets.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in March fell by Rs 3.05, or 0.44 per cent to Rs 692.30 per 10 kg with an open interest of 49,600 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in February declined by Rs 2.95, or 0.42 per cent to Rs 703.20 per 10 kg in 15,160 lots.

Analysts said besides profit-booking by traders at existing levels, fall in demand in spot market against ample stocks position mainly led to decline in refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
