Refined soya oil prices moved down by 0.69 per cent to Rs 643 per 10 kg in futures trade today as traders cut down positions, triggered by slackened demand at the spot markets against adequate stocks position.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for August delivery fell by Rs 4.50, or 0.69 per cent, to Rs 643 per 10 kg, with an open interest of 42,620 lots.
On similar lines, the oil for delivery in July traded lower by Rs 4.10, or 0.63 per cent, to Rs 641.90 per 10 kg in 35,370 lots.
Analysts said offloading of positions by traders owing to easing demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position on increased supplies from producing regions mainly weighed on refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
