Refined soya oil prices fell by 0.73 per cent to Rs 617.30 per 10 kg in futures trading today as traders trimmed their positions, driven by fall in demand in the spot market.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in June declined by Rs 4.55, or 0.73 per cent, to Rs 617.30 per 10 kg, with an open interest of 37,540 lots.
Likewise, the oil for delivery in July traded lower by Rs 4.25, or 0.68 per cent, to Rs 618.50 per 10 kg in 37,940 lots.
Analysts said offloading of positions by traders due to easing demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position on increased supplies from producing regions mainly led to the decline in refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
