Refined soya oil prices edged up by 0.14 per cent to Rs 654 per 10 kg in futures trade today as traders enlarged their exposure amid uptick in demand in the spot market.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in November inched up by 90 paise, or 0.14 per cent, to Rs 654 per 10 kg, with an open interest of 52,110 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in October traded higher by 55 paise, or 0.08 per cent, to Rs 648.45 per 10 kg in 37,400 lots.

Analysts said fresh positions built up by participants due to pick up in demand in the spot market against restricted supplies from producing regions mainly led to rise in refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
