Refined soya oil futures edge up by 0.22% on spot demand

Refined soya oil prices traded higher by 0.22 per cent to Rs 661.20 per 10 kg in futures trading today as participants enlarged positions, tracking a firming trend at spot market on upsurge in demand.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in April month rose by Rs 1.45, or 0.22 per cent to Rs 661.20 per 10 kg with an open interest of 10,700 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in far-month May contracts edged up by 55 paise, or 0.08 per cent to Rs 671.25 per 10 kg in 83,780 lots.

Analysts said traders enlarging positions after pick up in demand in the spot market against restricted supplies from producing regions mainly led to the rise in refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
