Amid rising domestic demand at spot market against restricted supplies from producing regions, refined soya oil prices were up by 0.18 per cent to Rs 668.80 per 10 kg in futures trade today as traders enlarged their positions.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in November advanced by Rs 1.20, or 0.18 per cent to Rs 668.80 per 10 kg with an open interest of 57,880 lots.

Likewise, the oil for delivery in October contracts edged up by 40 paise or 0.06 per cent to Rs 658.45 per 10 kg in 5,900 lots.

Analysts said widening of positions by participants owing to rising demand in the spot market against tight supplies from producing regions mainly kept refined soya oil prices higher at futures trade.
