Refined soya oil futures extend gain, up 0.46% on spot demand

Refined soya oil remained higher and prices gained another 0.46 per cent to Rs 692.50 per 10 kg in futures market today as traders engaged in enlarging their positions amid rising demand in the spot market against tight stocks position.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in March month rose by Rs 3.15, or 0.46 per cent to Rs 692.50 per 10 kg with an open interest of 45020 lots.

In a similar fashion, the oil for delivery in February contracts was trading higher by Rs 2.10, or 0.30 per cent to Rs 704.60 per 10 kg in 27,280 lots.
 

Analysts said widening of positions by participants, tracking a firm trend at spot market on surging demand against tight stock position on fall in supplies from producing belts, mainly kept refined soya oil prices higher at futures trade.
