Continuing its rising streak for the third straight day, refined soya oil prices gained 0.38 per cent to Rs 607.15 per 10 kg in futures trading today as speculators indulged in enlarging positions on the back of strong demand in the spot market.

Besides, tight stocks position in the physical market following restricted arrivals from producing belts supported the upside.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in June month advanced by Rs 2.30, or 0.38 per cent to Rs 607.15 per 10 kg with an open interest of 77,460 lots.

Analysts said besides strong demand in the spot market, restricted supplies from producing belts mainly kept refined soya oil prices higher at futures trade.
