Refined soya oil prices moved down by 0.25 per cent to Rs 726 per 10 kg in futures trade today as participants reduced their positions, driven by easing demand in the spot market against ample stocks position.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in February month fell by Rs 1.80, or 0.25 per cent to Rs 726 per 10 kg with an open interest of 39,290 lots.

Likewise, the oil for delivery in January month contracts traded lower by Rs 1.45, or 0.20 per cent to Rs 733 per 10 kg in 7,260 lots.

Analysts said trimming of positions by participants amid fall in demand in the spot market against sufficient stocks position on increased supplies from growing regions, mainly influenced refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
