Refined soya oil down 0.48% on subdued demand

Oil for delivery in October traded lower by Rs 2.20, or 0.38%

Amid sluggish domestic demand and adequate stocks on higher supplies from producing regions, refined soya oil edged lower 0.48 per cent to Rs 567.20 per 10 kg in futures trade today.

In futures trading at National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in November fell Rs 2.75, or 0.48 per cent to Rs 567.20 per 10 kg with an open interest of 38,290 lots.

Likewise, the oil for delivery in October traded lower by Rs 2.20, or 0.38 per cent to Rs 572.80 per 10 kg in 77,415 lots.

Analysts said offloading of positions by participants owing to sluggish demand at the spot market against sufficient stocks mainly influenced refined soya oil prices in futures trade.
