Refined soya oil prices moved down by 0.63 per cent to Rs 611.80 per 10 kg in futures trade today as participants booked profits at prevailing higher levels.

Moreover, easing demand in the spot market weighed on prices.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in February month declined by Rs 3.85, or 0.63 per cent, to Rs 611.80 per 10 kg with an open interest of 61,640 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in far-month March contracts traded lower by Rs 3.30, or 0.54 per cent, to Rs 609.40 per 10 kg in 56,530 lots.

Market analysts said besides profit-booking by participants at existing levels, fall in demand in the spot market mainly led to the decline in refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
