Refined soya oil prices on Thursday fell by Rs 9.2 to Rs 850.8 per 10 kg in futures trade as speculators reduced holdings amid subdued demand at spot market.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in February declined by Rs 9.2, or 1.07 per cent, to Rs 850.8 per 10 kg in 41,520 lots.
The refined soya oil contracts for March dropped by Rs 13.2, or 1.56 per cent, to Rs 833.6 per 10 kg in 43,590 lots.
Market analysts said cutting down of positions by participants against ample stocks mainly influenced refined soya oil prices.
