Refined soya oil prices declined by 0.68 per cent to Rs 650.60 per 10 kg in futures market today as the participants reduced their exposure owing to slackened demand in the spot market against adequate stocks.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in far-month October fell by Rs 4.45, or 0.68 per cent, to Rs 650.60 per 10 kg with an open interest of 53,420 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in September contracts moved down by Rs 4, or 0.62 per cent, to Rs 642.50 per 10 kg in 54,500 lots.
Analysts said trimming of positions by traders, driven by sluggish demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position on higher supplies from producing belts mainly led to decline in refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
