Refined soya oil prices moved up by 0.78 per cent to Rs 751.50 per 10 kg in futures trading today as speculators created fresh bets, taking positive cues from spot market on pick up in demand.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in March rose by Rs 5.80, or 0.78 per cent, to Rs 751.50 per 10 kg with an open interest of 26,050 lots.
On similar lines, the oil for delivery in February gained Rs 5, or 0.67 per cent, to Rs 752 per 10 kg in 37,890 lots.
Analysts said fresh bets by traders after upsurge in demand in the physical market against tight stocks position on fall in supplies from producing belts led to the rise in refined soya oil prices in futures trade.
