Refined soya oil futures gain 0.91% on spot demand

Refined soya oil prices were up by 0.91 per cent to Rs 655.80 per 10 kg in futures trade today as traders enlarged their position, tracking a firming trend at spot market on uptick in demand.

Besides, tight stocks position on restricted supplies from producing belts supported the upside.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in May rose by Rs 5.90, or 0.91 per cent, to Rs 655.80 per 10 kg with an open interest of 11,660 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in far-month June contracts traded higher by Rs 6.05, or 0.91 per cent, to Rs 670.10 per 10 kg in 1,24,210 lots.
 

Analysts said participants enlarging positions on the back of pick up in demand in the spot market against restricted supplies from producing regions mainly led to the rise in refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
