Refined soya oil prices went up by 0.57 per cent to Rs 675 per 10 kg in futures trade today as speculators enlarged positions, taking positive cues from spot market on strong demand.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in November moved up by Rs 3.80, or 0.57 per cent to Rs 675 per 10 kg with an open interest of 5,600 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in October traded higher by Rs 2.35, or 0.35 per cent to Rs 675.65 per 10 kg in 22,100 lots.

Analysts said widening of positions by participants due to uptick in demand in the physical market against restricted supplies from growing regions, mainly influenced refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
