Refined soya oil futures rebound 0.34 pc on spot demand

Refined soya oil prices were up by 0.34 per cent to Rs 589.00 per 10 kg in futures trading today as participants indulged in creating fresh positions driven by rising demand in the spot market.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in August month moved up by Rs 2, or 0.34 per cent to Rs 589 per 10 kg with an open interest of 1,58,920 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in June contracts gained Rs 1.55, or 0.26 per cent to Rs 594.75 per 10 kg in 96,970 lots.

Market analysts said fresh positions built up by speculators supported pickup in demand in the spot market mainly led to the rise in refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
