Refined soya oil prices fell further by 0.12 per cent to Rs 667.35 per 10 kg in futures trade today as participants engaged in reducing their positions, driven by easing demand in the spot market against ample stocks.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in November month shed 80 paise, or 0.12 per cent to Rs 667.35 per 10 kg with an open interest of 37,700 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in December contracts traded lower by a similar margin to Rs 671.50 per 10 kg in 52,590 lots.
Analysts said offloading of positions by traders owing to slackened demand in the spot market against sufficient stocks position on higher supplies from producing regions mainly kept refined soya oil prices lower at futures trade.
