Refined soya oil prices were up by 0.15 per cent to Rs 661.65 per 10 kg in futures market today as participants built up fresh positions, taking positive cues from spot market on uptick in demand.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in October month rose by Re 1, or 0.15 per cent to Rs 661.65 per 10 kg with an open interest of 31,190 lots.

On similar lines, the oil for delivery in November contracts edged up by 85 paise, or 0.13 per cent to Rs 664 per 10 kg in 47,640 lots.

Analysts said fresh positions created by traders due to pick up in demand in the physical market against restricted supplies from growing regions mainly influenced refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
