Refined soya oil up 0.2% on pick-up in demand

Oil for delivery in May traded higher by 0.18%

Refined soya oil prices rose 0.20% to Rs 592 per 10 kg in futures trade today on rising demand in the spot market.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in April edged up by Rs 1.20, or 0.20%, to Rs 592 per 10 kg with an open interest of 1,03,270 lots.

Likewise, the oil for delivery in May traded higher by Re one, or 0.18%, to Rs 570.65 per 10 kg in 90,490 lots.

Analysts said besides pick-up in demand in spot market, restricted supplies from producing belts mainly led to the rise in refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
