Amid pick up in domestic demand and restricted supplies from producing regions, refined soya oil prices edged up by 0.22 per cent to Rs 599.55 per 10 kg in futures market today.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in March edged higher by Rs 1.30, or 0.22 per cent to Rs 599.55 per 10 kg with an open interest of 31,030 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in far-month April traded higher by Rs 1.25, or 0.21 per cent to Rs 603.40 per 10 kg in 96,540 lots.

Traders attributed the rise in refined soya oil futures to pick up in demand in the spot market against restricted supplies from producing belts.
