Refined soya oil rises 0.26% as demand picks up

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Refined soya oil prices were up by 0.26 per cent to Rs 628.25 per 10 kg in futures trade today as speculators enlarged their bets after pick up in demand in the spot market.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in October edged up Rs 1.60, or 0.26 per cent to Rs 628.25 per 10 kg with an open interest of 14,350 lots.

The November contract traded higher by 85 paise, or 0.14 per cent to Rs 623.90 per 10 kg in 70,895 lots.

Market analysts attributed the rise in refined soya oil futures to pick up demand in the spot market amid restricted supplies from producing regions.
