Press Trust of India New Delhi
Refined soya oil prices edged up by 0.30 per cent to Rs 649.40 per 10 kg in futures trading today as traders enlarged positions, triggered by a firming trend at spot market following upsurge in demand.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in April rose by Rs 1.95, or 0.30 per cent, to Rs 649.40 per 10 kg, with an open interest of 25,480 lots.

Likewise, the oil for delivery in far-month May traded higher by Rs 1.65, or 0.25 per cent, to Rs 658.95 per 10 kg in 78,890 lots.

Analysts said increasing of positions by participants on the back of rising demand in the spot market against less supplies from producing regions mainly led to the rise in refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
