Refined soya oil prices were up by 0.43 per cent to Rs 664.10 per 10 kg in futures trading today as participants created fresh positions, taking positive cues from spot market on uptick in demand.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in far-month November rose by Rs 2.85, or 0.43 per cent to Rs 664.10 per 10 kg with an open interest of 41,970 lots.

Likewise, the oil for delivery in October contracts edged up by Rs 1.50, or 0.23 per cent to Rs 661.85 per 10 kg in 61,270 lots.

Analysts said fresh positions created by traders on the back of pick up in demand in the spot market against restricted supplies from producing regions mainly led to rise in refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
