Refined soya oil prices moved up by 0.84 per cent to Rs 572.50 per 10 kg in futures market today as speculators enlarged positions amid pick-up in demand in spot markets.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in October gained Rs 4.75, or 0.84 per cent, to Rs 572.50 per 10 kg with an open interest of 1,14,460 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in September traded up by Rs 3.85, or 0.63 per cent, to Rs 613.50 per 10 kg in 16,630 lots.
Market analysts attributed the rise in refined soya oil prices at futures trade to upsurge in demand in the spot markets against tight supplies from producing regions.
