Refined soya oil prices were up by 1.44 per cent to Rs 580.10 per 10 kg in futures trading today, tracking a firm trend at spot market on pick up in demand.

The exchange opened for the evening session as it remained closed in the morning for 'Budha Purnima'.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in August moved up by Rs 8.25, or 1.44 per cent to Rs 580.10 per 10 kg in business turnover of 1,54,665 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in June contracts gained Rs 7.50, or 1.29 per cent to Rs 589.05 per 10 kg in 1,09,845 lots.

Market analysts said besides firm trend at spot market on the back of pick up in demand, restricted supplies from producing belts mainly led to the rise in refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
