Refined soya oil prices rose 0.09 per cent to Rs 754 per 10 kg in futures market today as speculators created fresh bets, taking positive cues from spot market on uptick in demand.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in March edged up by 65 paise, or 0.09 per cent, to Rs 754 per 10 kg with an open interest of 31,790 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in April contracts was trading higher by 55 paise, or 0.07 per cent, to Rs 759.05 per 10 kg in 29,630 lots.

Analysts said fresh positions built up by traders due to pick up in demand in the physical market against restricted supplies from producing belts influenced refined soya oil prices in futures trade.
