Refined soya oil prices eased by 0.12 per cent to Rs 645 per 10 kg in futures trade today as the participants reduced their exposure, tracking a weak trend at spot market on tepid demand.

Besides, adequate stocks positions on higher supplies from producing regions put pressure on refined soya oil.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in July edged lower by 80 paise, or 0.12 per cent, to Rs 645 per 10 kg, with an open interest of 49,830 lots.

The oil for delivery in August traded lower by a similar margin to Rs 652.60 per 10 kg in 96,380 lots.

Analysts said trimming of positions by traders triggered by tepid demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position on higher supplies from producing belts mainly influenced refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
