Refined soya oil prices drifted lower by 0.24 per cent to Rs 678 per 10 kg in futures trade today as traders booked profits at prevailing levels amid easing demand in the spot market.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in December month fell by Rs 1.60, or 0.24 per cent to Rs 678 per 10 kg with an open interest of 52,550 lots.
Likewise, the oil for delivery in November contracts weakened by Rs 1.10, or 0.16 per cent to Rs 672.15 per 10 kg in 44,900 lots.
Market analysts said besides profit-booking by participants at existing levels, fall in demand against adequate stocks position on higher supplies from producing regions led to decline in refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
