Refined soya oil prices drifted lower by 0.43 per cent to Rs 640.80 per 10 kg in futures trade today as speculators booked profits amid easing demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in April month declined by Rs 2.75, or 0.43 per cent to Rs 640.80 per 10 kg with an open interst of 38,880 lots.

On similar lines, the oil for delivery in May month contracts shed Rs 2.20, or 0.35 per cent to Rs 629.60 per 10 kg in 53,680 lots.

Analysts said besides profit-booking by participants at existing level, fall in demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position on increased supplies from producing belts, mainly influenced refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
