Refined soya oil futures slide 0.57% on subdued demand

Refined soya oil futures traded lower by 0.57 per cent to Rs 625.50 per kg today as participants their trimmed positions, tracking a weak trend at the spot market on subdued demand.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in far-month March declined by Rs 3.60 or 0.57 per cent to Rs 625.50 per 10 kg with an open interest of 67,390 lots.

Likewise, the oil for delivery in February contracts weakened by Rs 1.50 or 0.24 per cent to Rs 618.05 per 10 kg in 5,790 lots.

Analysts attributed the fall in refined soya oil futures to muted demand at the spot market against adequate stocks on higher supplies from producing belts.
