Refined soya oil prices declined by 0.70 per cent to Rs 731.65 per 10 kg in futures trade today as participants reduced their exposure, driven by easing demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in January month fell by Rs 5.15, or 0.70 per cent, to Rs 731.65 per 10 kg with an open interest of 59,060 lots.
Likewise, the oil for delivery in December contracts traded lower by Rs 3.55, or 0.48 per cent, to Rs 732.95 per 10 kg in 20,490 lots.
Analysts said offloading of positions by traders amid fall in demand in the spot market against ample stocks position on increased supplies from growing regions, mainly led to decline in refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
