Refined soya oil futures soften by 0.21% on tepid demand

Amid sluggish domestic demand and sufficient stocks position, refined soya oil futures traded lower by 0.21 per cent to Rs 626.10 per 10 kg today.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in August month eased by Rs 1.30, or 0.21 per cent to Rs 626.10 per 10 kg with an open interest of 76,820 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in September contracts shed Rs 1.10, or 0.17 per cent to Rs 629.40 per 10 kg in 1,04,640 lots.

Analysts said besides fall in demand in the spot market, adequate stocks position on higher supplies from growing regions mainly weighed on refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
