Refined soya oil futures up 0.19% on rising demand

Refined soya oil prices rose by 0.19 per cent to Rs 622.65 per 10 kg in futures market today as speculators enlarged positions on the back of rising demand in the spot market.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in May traded higher by Rs 1.15, or 0.19 per cent, to Rs 622.65 per 10 kg, with an open interest of 59,210 lots.

Likewise, the oil for delivery in April edged higher by a Re, or 0.16 per cent, to Rs 634 per 10 kg in 20,130 lots.

Analysts said widening of positions by traders on the back of rising demand in the spot market against tight stocks position on fall in supplies from producing belts, mainly kept refined soya oil prices higher at futures trade.
