Refined soya oil prices were trading up by 0.19 per cent to Rs 627 per 10 kg in futures trade today as traders created fresh positions amid firm trend at spot market on pick up in demand.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in May rose Rs 1.20, or 0.19 per cent to Rs 627 per 10 kg with an open interest of 53,910 lots.

Likewise, the oil for delivery in April was trading higher by 40 paise, or 0.06 per cent, to Rs 637.90 per 10 kg in 37,120 lots.

Analysts said, fresh positions built up by traders, driven by pick-up in demand in the spot market against restricted supplies from producing belts, mainly influenced refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
