Amid upsurge in domestic demand at spot market and restricted supplies from growing regions, refined soya oil prices were up by 0.49 per cent to Rs 637.00 per 10 kg in futures market today.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in December traded higher by Rs 3.10, or 0.49 per cent, to Rs 637.00 per 10 kg, with an open interest of 13,030 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in far-month January 2016 edged up by Rs 2.60, or 0.41 per cent, to Rs 636.50 per 10 kg in 90,120 lots.

Market analysts attributed the rise in refined soya oil prices at futures trade to rising demand in the spot market against restricted supplies from the producing belts.
