Refined soya oil prices were up by 0.73 per cent to Rs 624.20 per 10 kg in futures trade today as speculators enlarged their bets, tracking a firm trend at spot markets on pick up in demand.

Besides, tight stocks position in the physical market on restricted supplies from producing regions supported the upside.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in far-month December rose Rs 4.55, or 0.73 per cent, to Rs 624.20 per 10 kg, with an open interest of 1,17,355 lots.

Likewise, the oil for delivery in November edged up by Rs 2.30, or 0.37 per cent, to Rs 629.95 per 10 kg in 64,265 lots.

Market analysts attributed the rise in refined soya oil futures to pick up in demand in the spot market against restricted supplies from producing regions.
